Shopkick is a free mobile app designed to bring bricks-and-mortar retailers into the digital age. Add it to your phone and register, and when you enter your favorite retailer — Best Buy and Macy’s (M) are launch partners — marketers can offer you discounts and information tailored to your interests.
“The retail environment is changing,” says Margita Labhard, director of Best Buy’s new business customers solutions group.
Best Buy signed up with Shopkick to “find new ways to bring people into our stores through the use of mobile technology, but more importantly, know when they come into our store,” she says.
